SDG-Forum
The SDG-Forum brings the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from, for and by everyone. As the biggest multi-stakeholder forum on the SDGs in the Benelux, the SDG-Forum is able to reach out to a wide range of sectors and deals with a variety of themes.
Organised by more than 20 partner organizations from every corner of the sustainable development sector, the SDG-Forum strives to connect unusual suspects. It gives policy makers, business, NGOs, academia, civil society and citizens a chance to meet and exchange SDG ideas and SDG solutions.
As part of the forum, the Federal Council for Sustainable Development (FRDO-CFDD) will offer two sessions this year:
1:30 PM: Planetary Boundaries & Planetary Guardians: Giving the planet a seat at the table – This session will briefly present the planetary boundaries framework and how it can help guide policy choices towards long-term sustainability. Experts from the scientific, political, and practical fields will then discuss how ecological boundaries can be better integrated into decision-making processes.
Session language: English.
3:30 p.m.: Sustainable Housing, Heating, and Cooling – organized in collaboration with the Interfederal Service for Combating Poverty, Precariousness, and Social Exclusion . During this session, we will examine the obstacles faced by people experiencing poverty and precariousness when they wish to invest in sustainable housing and heating and cooling systems. After a brief introduction, representatives from anti-poverty organizations will respond to the challenges and solutions for implementing a policy that leaves no one behind.
Session languages: French and Dutch.
We would therefore also like to invite you to participate in our sessions as well as the SDG-Forum in general.
