Dean's Grad Scholars Welcome Reception

​Join us on Wednesday, September 30, from 12:00–1:30 p.m. as we welcome and celebrate the sixth cohort of the Dean’s Graduate Scholars Program.

​Faculty advisors, student services officers, previous Dean’s Graduate Scholars, and other members of the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability community are invited to help us welcome this year’s 11 scholars.

​Location: Mitchell Earth Sciences Patio
Lunch will be provided.

​Beginning at 12:15 p.m., Assistant Dean Lupe Carrillo of the Access, Belonging & Community Office and Dean Arun Majumdar will offer welcome remarks celebrating the arrival of our newest scholars.

​About the Dean’s Graduate Scholars Program

​The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability established the Dean’s Graduate Scholars Program as part of its commitment to cultivating a welcoming scientific community where everyone can thrive and experience a sense of belonging.

​The program supports outstanding incoming graduate students who have demonstrated inclusive scientific leadership and the potential to continue contributing to outreach, recruitment, and professional development across the school.

​Dean’s Graduate Scholars receive tuition, salary, and research support. They also become part of a multidisciplinary cohort that participates in community-building and professional development opportunities, including annual lunches with the dean.
