Roundtable | Success factors of Deep Tech founding teams: Natural sciences education is the foundation, but not everything

​Discussion on the implications of the Global Deep Tech Report 2026 — Deep Tech Founders: United by Similarities or Powered by Differences? — by Arqis, Bayern Kapital, D11Z. Ventures, DTCF, HTGF, IHK München, and Onsight Ventures. The first worldwide, comprehensive overview of Deep Tech startups and their founding teams, based on a unique dataset of 13,600 Deep Tech startups (5,000 validated) and 11,500 founder profiles. Successful founding teams combine a strong technical background in IT or Natural Sciences with approximately 18 years of management experience and at least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience, distributed across two or more co-founders. The session will be interactive, focusing on implications and next steps to translate insights into real impact.
