Workshop description:
During this workshop, Dr. Eva Agapaki, Founder & CEO of Hatch Labs, will equip founders with frameworks on data infrastructure and LLM models. Founders will learn how to design and implement data systems optimized for AI, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and integration with LLMs. Dr. Agapaki will discuss LLM architecture (open- & closed-source) and Retrieval Augmented System (RAG) architectures as well as practical LLM enhancement strategies.

A bit more about Eva:
Dr. Eva Agapaki is a passionate innovator, entrepreneur and product leader with nearly a decade of academic and industry experience in AI/ML and digital twins. She currently runs HatchLabs, was previously Head of Product at Next Millennium Media, where she lead the engineering and product team. Prior to that, she served as a Professor at the University of Florida and Director of the Digital Twins lab and also founded TENET TWIN, a digital twins startup leveraging applied AI research.
Eva holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and was honored with a U.S. National Academy of Engineering grant during her Ph.D. research at MIT for her contribution to addressing one of the 14 Grand Challenges in Engineering. She also holds an MSc in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering from UCLA and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Patras in Greece.
