Casa de Campo hike (free, women only, all ages, easy)

​A refreshing getaway right on Madrid's doorstep through the city’s largest historic park, Casa de Campo. We will start by the tranquil waters of the Lago, winding through peaceful oak and pine groves to climb up the Cerro de Garabitas—the highest point in the park—for unique panoramic views of the Madrid skyline. We will also pass by the zoo area where, if we are lucky, we might catch a glimpse of the flamingos! A perfect, relaxed morning route blending nature, fresh air, and city views. 🦩

​Distance: 12 km · Elevation: ~160 m · Time: 3–3.5 h

​Difficulty: Easy. Mostly flat, wide dirt tracks and well-maintained park trails with one gentle incline up the hill. Perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a pleasant morning walk. 🥾

​Getting there: Take Metro Line 10 directly to the "Lago" station.

​Logistics: Group size: Capped at 25, please sign up.

​Meeting option: At the exit of the Lago Metro Station (Line 10) at 10:00 AM. Look out for the group near the station entrance!

​Return: We will loop back to the Lago area, aiming to finish the walk by ~13:30 PM, just in time for an optional lunch or drink by the lake.

​What to bring: Comfortable trainers or walking shoes. A packed picnic lunch or snacks, and at least 1.5L of water. Sunscreen and sunglasses, as parts of the trail are quite open. 🧺

​Cost: Free. You only pay for your own public transport (Metro). 🪙 (tips for the host in cash or coffee are welcome)
