Lunar Eclipse Sound Bath
Join us August 27th, at 7:30pm - 9:30pm at Open Doors (Berkeley), during the height of the lunar eclipse for a special Sound Bath facilitated by Naike Swai aka Chagga Star.

Clad in the protective skin of the moon's silver rays you step ashore and emerge from the depths of Pisces' waters. Chiron in Taurus welcomes you and steadies your stumbling footfall - it's been a while since you've felt earth between your toes. This lunar eclipse in Pisces closes the Pisces eclipse cycle which started on September 18th, 2024. Uranus' square to the eclipse suggests that as we leave Pisces' realms of the subconscious, we emerge and breakthrough the haze with an electrifying insight.
This Sound Bath is being offered to support us in crossing this tremendous threshold, quietly, with community, in meditation with sound. Let's breathe together, wash off the static and regulate our nervous systems.

About the Venue
The space will have both couch and floor seating with cushions available.
You are welcome to bring a blanket, cushion, journal, crystals - whatever you need to facilitate your experience.
Hot water and herbal tea will be provided and we may have a fire going outside.
The space is located in a residential area that is not wheelchair accessible

NAIKE SWAI is an Oakland based multi-instrumentalist, DJ and astrologer of Tanzanian and German heritage. A long time student of the Bansuri (Krishna’s bamboo flute) with Pundit Harsh Wardhan, they weave classical Indian ragas into their musical productions. In Naike's artistic practice, they utilize time-suspending harmonic ratios, tuning forks, traditional kalimbas, analogue electronics and other natural instruments to bring harmonizing vibrations into the body to balance the parasympathetic nervous system and facilitate somatic healing.
An ELECTRONIC SOUND BATH is an ambient musical event, where participants attend to relax, meditate and be “bathed” by calming, harmonizing musical vibrations. The “bathing” effect is achieved with a mixture of traditional healing instruments such as singing bowls, flutes, gongs, harmonic chimes and interval tuning forks as well as the voice, binaural beats, field recorded nature sounds and electronic synthesizers. These natural harmonic frequencies and sounds help relax the nervous system. During the Sound Bath participants are welcome to lie down, meditate, journal and watch the lunar eclipse in silence.
