About Event

A complimentary small group dinner with a former admissions officer.

Join Empowerly for an evening built for parents of college-bound students. Over dinner, Brennan Bowen, a former admissions officer at UC Berkeley, will give an honest look at how selective colleges actually evaluate applications, and answer your questions directly. Partway through, you'll work through a real-style applicant file yourself, then hear how a former admissions officer reads the same one.

Featured speaker

Brennan Bowen is a former admissions officer at UC Berkeley and a reader for Stanford, where he reviewed thousands of applications. He now works directly with families as a lead counselor at Empowerly, with over 10 years in selective admissions, specializing in computer science, engineering, and international applicants. His students have been admitted to UPenn, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UC San Diego, NYU, and UIUC.
