Creators Brew Marketers Salon
Marketing Salon: Keep or Kill
Twenty marketers. One question. One long conversation.
The question
If your job were to build fans instead of hitting this quarter's numbers, what would you keep and what would you kill?
What this is
The Marketing Salon is 20 marketers conversing around common theme and a question. It runs about ninety minutes. It's not a stage, slides, panel, or pitching. Everyone in the room engages and hosted by The Creators Brew.
This month's theme is Keep or Kill.
You have two jobs - Build a brand people come back to and prove it in a report by Friday. Those jobs pull in different directions, and you make quiet trade-offs every week about what to protect and what to cut. Most of those calls get made alone.
This is where twenty of us make them out loud. You leave knowing where your work goes next, and knowing a few people wrestling with the same thing.
What we'll get into
What you're measured on, and whether it matches what actually grows the brand
What parts of your work should stay human, and what you'd hand off tomorrow
Whether the time you get back goes into building fans or into building more reports
If fans were the only target next year, what goes first and what stays
What to expect
An engaging conversation with guided questions, not a Q&A with a stage at the front. Bring your question and your hot take. Somebody will disagree with you.
A guided wine tasting, so you'll learn something about what's in your glass while you engage and meet other marketers.
And before anyone leaves, the group decides where this goes next. The marketers in the seats pick the question for the next Salon.
Who this is for:
Marketers past the how-to stage who are thinking about where this work is heading. Brand, growth, social, content, field and event marketers. A few creator founders will be there too - they make the same calls with their own money, and the POV from that seat is useful.
If you want a big room and a stack of business cards, this is not it. Keep an eye out for other Creators Brew Events for that.
What we ask of you:
Come ready to talk, not to listen. Bring one thing you're stuck on. Be willing to say the unflattering version of it. What's said in the room stays in the room.
Details
The wine tasting is a guided flight paid by you at the venue at a minimal cost of $10 for the wine flight, and there's a menu if you want to buy food and beverages.
Entry is free, Twenty curated seats. Please RSVP only if you can actually make it, and let us know if plans change so the seat can go to someone else.
About the series
The Marketing Salon by Creators Brew, is curated with the intent to bring marketers from different industries/verticals together to encourage exchanges of ideas, problems and navigate the rapidly changing world. Same format every time: twenty people, one question, ninety minutes of conversation over a different experience each time.
What changes is the theme/question. Each one comes from what marketers are actually dealing with that month, and the room picks the next one before it leaves. So the series builds on itself and stays relevant to the community. People who come back are continuing a conversation, not starting a new one.
Expect a different room each time, with some familiar faces. I will keep the mix deliberate: brand, growth, social, content, field and event marketers, plus a few creator founders. Nobody is here to sell you anything.
Hosted by Sloka Akula, founder of The Creators Brew.
