About Event

This event is the first in a healthcare construction knowledge series focused on project initiation from the owner’s perspective. The discussion will focus on the earliest decisions that shape a project: identifying the need, conducting proper due diligence, validating volume/revenue assumptions, understanding staffing and operational impacts, and ensuring the project is justified before moving into execution. Many organizations skip these front-end steps, which can be a costly mistake realized later, after the facility goes live.

The session surfaces practical lessons learned, not just theory. The format is expected to be an interactive, roundtable-style discussion, with participants’ video turned on (recommended). The goal is to use the event to surface real owner expertise, capture insights from the speakers and audience, and feed that back into the knowledge base as richer community content. Future sessions will cover budgeting, GMPs, activation, and closeout. The future sessions will cover budgeting, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), activation, and closeout.
