Who Designed This?
We spend a lot of time asking:
How do we fix the problem?
But how often do we stop and ask:
Who—or what—designed the conditions producing the problem in the first place?
The world we live in didn't simply happen. Our beliefs, institutions, traditions, systems, and everyday practices were shaped by people, decisions, histories, and ideas.
And once those conditions become familiar, we often stop seeing them as designed.
We simply call them normal.
In this conversation, we'll take a closer look at the conditions shaping our lives and ask:
What are we experiencing?
How did we get here?
What beliefs, systems, and decisions helped create these conditions?
And what might be possible if we designed them differently?
This isn't a debate about who's right or wrong. It's an invitation to look closer, question what we've come to accept, and consider what else might be possible.
And because the way we see a problem influences what we believe can be done about it, we'll return to one question at the beginning and end of our conversation:
Who designed this?
Come curious. Leave with a new perspective.
