​Cooper McClain went into Deloitte expecting to pursue audit. Then, in the middle of the recession, he interviewed for a tax role in San Francisco, and it changed the course of his career. He has since built his career at Deloitte in partnership taxation, serving private equity, investment, and real estate funds.

​Recently promoted to Managing Director, the highest leadership level short of partner, he now leads across client relationships, business development, people, and technology. He also serves as Deloitte's San Francisco AI lead, putting him at the forefront of how technology is transforming the profession.
