🧩 Game Night: STEEPLES BINGO - School Systems

​Bingo, but for the future of school.

​We play across a 5x5 grid where every square is something already happening in schools: teacher burnout treated as normal, lunch debt, AI grading tools adopted without consent, Smartboards still running Windows 7. Then we flip the board from NOW to THEN and read the same square as a future scenario. Growth, collapse, discipline, transform, or the strange new fifth dimension we don't have a word for yet.

​STEEPLES is a horizon-scanning tool from futures studies: Social, Technological, Environmental, Economic, Political, with Legal, Ethical, and Symbolic as extended tiers. We'll use it to see the whole education ecosystem, not just a classroom.

​What we'll do together:

​- Play through the grid as a group

​- Mark what you might have seen in real life

​- Notice which futures we're drifting toward

​- Practice naming the "odd" alternatives that don't have language yet
