ABOUT THE ASSEMBLY
The international order is being rewritten. Long-held assumptions about power, trade, capital, technology, education and work are shifting at once. This is a consequential moment for Global Africa: an opportunity to bring its leadership, knowledge, capital and cultural influence to the work of shaping what comes next.
Convened by Africa House during UNGA Week 2026, Global Africa: A World on New Terms is a two-day assembly of leaders from government, business, finance, philanthropy, culture and civil society. Together, they will examine the systems now being remade, build new coalitions and advance the institutions, agreements and initiatives the emerging world will require.
Rooted in the unfinished work of Pan-Africanism and global African solidarity, the Assembly looks forward with purpose. It asks what Global Africa should build, negotiate, finance and steward now, and how a changing international order can become an opening for greater agency, fair exchange and shared prosperity.
DAY TWO: WHAT WE CARRY FORWARD
Wednesday turns to the people, histories and institutions that will shape the emerging era.
Future Force considers how Global Africa’s next generation can develop the capabilities, access and pathways to shape, rather than simply adapt to, an AI-powered global economy.
Reparative Futures asks how renewed momentum around historical truth and recognition can lead to meaningful mechanisms for justice and repair.
Shared Legacies brings together legacy families and stewards connected to the Pan-African, civil rights and liberation movements. This intergenerational conversation considers what should be remembered, renewed and carried forward, and how inherited values, relationships and unfinished work can serve Global Africa today.
Day Two also marks the launch of the Africa House Legacy Initiative, an intergenerational platform through which legacy families, movement stewards and aligned institutions can build relationships around shared priorities and carry consequential work forward.
The Assembly closes by gathering these threads into founding commitments: a shared understanding of what should advance, who is prepared to carry it and how ideas can become institutions.

The Africa House Legacy Reception marks the launch of the Africa House Legacy Initiative and concludes the 2026 Global Assembly. Approved Day Two guests are warmly invited to stay, continue the day’s conversations and close the Assembly together.
