Storytelling your sexual self
"How have the stories about sex shaped your lived experience?
Storytelling your sexual self is an interactive and educational workshop that explores how the words and narratives we have absorbed and reproduced throughout our lives shape the ways we experience our own sexuality, and offers tools to begin rewriting them on our own terms.
The session weaves together sex education and creative writing, alternating between informative content and writing prompts to trace the stories we were given, examine the ones we have built about ourselves, and begin to construct new ones that are more open, compassionate, and truly ours.
The purpose of this workshop is to reclaim the language and scripts that have defined and delimited what we believe sex should be and who we are as sexual beings. This gathering is about noticing which ones influence our behaviour and self-image, and begin to do something about it.
This event is purely educational and not therapeutic. All activities are optional, and the space is designed to feel safe, inclusive, and welcoming to people of all genders and backgrounds.
Facilitated by Natalia Lozano, sexual educator, with two Master's degrees in Culture Studies and Transdisciplinary Sexology.
