Equitable Telehealth Access: Multilingual Resources and Community Partnerships
ABOUT THIS SESSION
Telehealth can expand access to care, but many patients continue to face barriers related to language access, digital literacy, privacy concerns, and fears associated with immigration enforcement. To help address these challenges, the Center for Care Innovations partnered with language specialists, designers, and health centers to co-create a suite of multilingual telehealth communication resources.
In this webinar, participants will get an inside look at a new toolkit featuring provider-facing communication guides, staff quick-reference tools, and multi-lingual patient-facing infographics and videos. Presenters will share how the materials were developed through community-centered design and cross-sector collaboration, along with lessons learned about language justice, cultural adaptation, and working across multiple organizations and language communities.
Participants will leave with practical strategies and ready-to-use resources that can help support telehealth adoption, strengthen patient trust, and improve communication with immigrant and linguistically diverse communities.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to...
Address common barriers to telehealth adoption among immigrant, limited-English-proficient, and Indigenous-language-speaking communities, including concerns related to privacy, trust, digital confidence, and immigration enforcement.
Access and implement the new telehealth toolkit and dissemination resources within their own organizations and communities.
Explore lessons learned from a multi-partner collaboration advancing language justice in health communications, including cultural adaptation, dialect-specific considerations, community validation, and accessible formats.
