Michael's (ancestral) Birthday!

​Dear sweet friends,

​Michael’s 43rd birthday is on Sept 30th, and although he wasn’t one to throw himself a big party, I know he would want us to be together.

​Each night, after putting Zoya to bed, Michael would pop a gummy and vibe out to his favorite DJs. This gathering is an invitation to expand this private ritual to include our beloved community.

​🪩💃🏽🎧🕺🏽DJ Rae Chardonnay and Disc Jacqui will be spinning! ✨We’re hoping to channel the vibes of the legendary queer dance party Chances Dances - you can expect plenty of Chicago house, Houston hip hop, and Mariah Carey 💅🏽

​🌺🍙🍤🥥 We’ll be serving some of Michael’s favorite Filipino and Hawaiian snacks by Kanin: spam musubi, shrimp musubi, egg and tomato jam musubi, marinated tofu musubi, mac salad, cucumber salad & ube banana pudding!

​👧🏽✨👶🏻🎨 There will be a kids' art making and dance space facilitated by Chicago Childcare Collective from 6:00-8:00pm.

​Family, friends, and kids are welcome.
