How to (Not) Poison a Planet

​With behind the scenes access to the largest litigation involving drinking water in American history, the award-winning documentary How to Poison A Planet investigates how the use of a product as seemingly harmless as firefighting foam has resulted in the contamination of communities all over the world.

​In this roundtable conversation featuring clips from the doc, filmmaker Katrina McGowan joins litigator Gary Doulgas and environmental advocates to explore the legal fight, the environmental consequences, and the creative process — with the help of Mark Ruffalo — that brought it to the screen.

​This story about one of the most widespread environmental disasters in history spans the globe from the heart of New York City to a small First Nations community in Australia.
