From Banashankari we will get off at Silkboard and get on another bus with the rest of the group to the lake. We will read on the way to the lake and at the lake we can chill and hang for a bit and make some new friends.
Buses we are trying to catch: AC bus V-500 series: 500CA or 500L from Banashankari to SilkSilkboaand 500D from Silkboard to Tin Factory.
These buses are very easy to catch as there are a ton of them! I recommend wearing walking shoes.
Entry: Free
Total bus fare: Should be 40 to 60 INR.
Schedule:
7:30AM to 9 AM bus ride + reading time
9 AM to 9:45 Nammoora coffee + Benninganhalli Lake pink blossoms
On the return feel free to use the Benninganhalli metro station (Purple line) to head back or take the bus, it's a well connected depot.
Logistics:
At Banashankari bus stand, please enter the bus stand and come to the last lane to catch the 500 series bus.
At Silkboard, kindly come to ORR side but no need to enter the bus stand.
Etiquette:
-We have chosen Sunday as that's the day with the least amount of crowd on a bus. But there will be other passengers, please be mindful of their space and presence.
-This is a silent book reading, so bring a book, grab a seat and get comfy. We can talk after the ride, at the lake.
-Those who get motion sickness kindly take or bring the appropriate medication for it. I find that wearing headphones helps me take my mind off of it, especially when reading in a moving vehicle. That being said, AC buses are a pretty smooth ride!
We want to keep the group small and intimate so further details will be shared to confirmed participants only, as this event is happening in a public bus, we want to be mindful and avoid becoming a large crowd.
We look forward to reading and riding with you on the bus this Sunday!
