Who Told You You Couldn’t? | An Evening of Courage, Connection & Possibility
Join us for an intimate evening marking the Singapore launch of Who Told You You Couldn’t? and the launch of a movement celebrating people who chose courage over the limitations placed upon them.
This gathering is limited to 100 guests.
Inspired by Shamane Tan’s fourth book, published by Penguin Random House SEA and featuring cover messages from former President Mdm Halimah Yacob and Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan, the evening brings one powerful question to life:
Who told you that you couldn’t, and what did you do anyway?
You will hear from people who were underestimated, discouraged or told they did not belong. Some changed direction. Some kept going. Some are still figuring it out.
Their stories will come together on a live digital wall, capturing the distance between “The Told” and “The Did.”
Across the evening, you can expect:
Real stories from people who outgrew the labels placed upon them
A live digital wall featuring “The Told” and “The Did” moments
Honest conversations about doubt, courage and reinvention
Meaningful connections with leaders, founders, creators and changemakers
The official Singapore launch of Who Told You You Couldn’t?
An opportunity to contribute your own story to the movement
An author meet-and-greet, with books available for purchase and personal signing by Shamane
Your story could be the reason someone else finds the courage to try.
