About Event

"Korea Stories" Open Talk!

Asian studies program at Sacramento State University and KLCCSac are delighted to invite all who are interested in Korean culture and history to our "Korea Stories" series. This is a collaborative public lecture series aimed at Sac State students and the KLCCSac community, and the general public with an interest in Korea. Our program will cover Korean history, culture, media, social issues, and more, providing a rich and comprehensive exploration through lectures, documentary screenings, and interactive discussions.

For our fourth event, we are honored to host Professor Hyangsuk Kwon, Ph.D., a Zainichi Korean scholar from Sophia University in Japan. She will lead a deeply moving session titled "Diaspora to Diaspora: Life Stories Across Borders."

To celebrate the warmer weather, this particular event will take place off-campus, providing a wonderful opportunity for community connection. We are inviting members from various local book clubs in the Sacramento area for an open talk, which will be followed by a communal dinner.

We look forward to your participation in this special evening of stories and fellowship!
