Leave the world behind and let the music, moon, and waves take you on a journey for one hour.
I've lived here for years, and never knew this was possible.
I'm inviting a few close friends to share this unusual experience together. And I'd love to have you there!
What is it?
We're going to the beach. At night.
We'll put on our headphones, and listen to some strange music together.
You can sit on the sand, walk, dip your feet in the water, dance, there's no right way to do this.
We'll have the ocean, the wind, the moon, and some music to guide us. The rest is individual - whatever comes up for you.
Read the instructions below. If you have any other questions, ask.
!!! Important: Instructions
Charge your phone, bring headphones. It's a silent disco, meaning the music will play from your phone through your headphones. There will not be any speakers.
We're going to the beach at night. Bring beach stuff. See list below for recommendations.
Come on time. The music starts when it starts (see below). If you're late, please join without interrupting anyone else
Wear comfortable clothes. Black or white with a bit of red encouraged. We're on the sand, it's warm, there will likely be some bugs, you may want to go into the water. So prepare accordingly. Bring a swimsuit, long clothes or bug spray if you want, etc.
Bring with you - recommended:
a. Charged phone and headphones - that's the only way to hear the music.
b. Beach mat or towel to sit on
c. Swimsuit if you want to step carefully into the water
d. A tether, fanny pack, or something to keep your phone in so it doesn't fall in the sand or water in the dark and you lose it.
e. Bug spray - there are mosquitoes around sundown. They bite.
f. Comfortable clothes you can move in, walk on the sand, step in the water, or lie down. Swimsuits, something to cover up from bugs if you want to, shorts if you prefer to stay cool, flip flops... It's the beach, plan for the beach.
g. A bag to keep your stuff in
Schedule:
8:15 to 8:30 p.m.
Arrive at your convenience, say hello, and settle in.
8:35 p.m.
Prepare: You'll get a link to open on your phone, connect your headphones, test your sound, and get comfortable. Finish any conversations, turn on Do Not Disturb, and take a breath or two.
8:45 p.m. exactly
The music starts for everyone, and our journey begins. Sit, stand, walk, dance, whatever you want. It's an individual journey, you can do whatever you feel like. You can take the headphones off and just stare at the water too.
9:35 p.m.
The journey ends after ~50 minutes.
We may stick around on the beach for a bit, or head to a place nearby to eat or drink or hang.
Wanna be late? The music doesn't wait.
You can choose to arrive late, but the music waits for no one. We will already be deep into the journey, and you’ll enter wherever it has reached. Please arrive quietly, respect the experience around you, and follow the simple setup instructions on your own.

Before you arrive, or on the beach:
You will receive a private link to the Dark Meditation player. Open it beforehand, tap Prepare Experience, and test your headphones. This saves the audio to your phone so you are not relying on beach reception.
A few important notes:
No speakers, candles, flashlights, flash photography, or other lights. We are keeping the beach dark and respecting sea turtle season.
Stay mindful of your surroundings. Don't go full on swimming in the dark, and try not to fall into the water or into innocent strangers.
You are always free to pause, stop, sit out, or leave if the experience does not feel right for you or you're bored. There are no obligations.
I'll share the exact meeting point, link, weather updates, and after-hang options over email - so pay attention to your emails.
In case of lightning or unsafe weather, we will update with alternate plans.
