​Women’s representation in ICT remains uneven globally: 13.8% in Malta, 19.4% across the EU, around 34%–40% in Southeast Asia’s tech sector, and approximately 35% of tech roles in the United States are held by women.
​At the same time, women face greater exposure to disruption. In high-income countries, 9.6% of women’s employment falls into the highest automation-risk category, compared with 3.5% for men.
