What does San Leandro mean to you, and what do you want it to become?
The City of San Leandro is developing its place brand – a shared story about who we are, what makes us distinctive, and where we're headed. To do that honestly, we need to hear from you.
Please join us to add your voice and perspective to San Leandro’s story.
What is a place brand and why is it important?
The goal of the place brand is to enhance City communications, support community pride, and help us better position the city as a great place to live, work, visit, and invest in. A place brand can show up in a city's logo, tagline, messaging, and ways of talking about itself.
We're inviting residents and businesses from different backgrounds, sectors, and neighborhoods across the city to join small-group conversations about San Leandro: its history, its character and culture, its challenges, and its future. These conversations will be facilitated by Ilana Lipsett, who is part of our branding consultant, Resonance.
These are small-group facilitated conversations designed to hear what people are proud of, what they're frustrated by, and what they believe this city could be. What comes out of these conversations becomes direct input into the brand — the language, the themes, the story San Leandro tells about itself.
These conversations will be foundational for our brand and the authentic story San Leandro tells about itself. We hope you'll join us.
