FTP Back-to-School Mutual Aid Swap

​As the cost of everything keeps rising, neighbors helping neighbors matters more than ever. Join us for our FREE Back-to-School Community Swap, where Southern Maryland families can share school supplies, clothing, and everyday essentials so every student starts the year with what they need.

​While walk-ins are welcome, we strongly encourage you to RSVP (okay to use a nickname or fake name!) so we can better plan ahead.

​🤝 How You Can Help

• ​Donate Gear: We’re hoping for 150+ backpacks, as well as clothes, shoes, lunchboxes, water bottles, headphones, general school supplies, hygiene and cleaning products. Getting stuff before the event is preferred, so we can sort through it!

  • ​Mon–Fri (evenings): Drop off at Vertical Dance.

  • ​Coordinate drop off with organizers! (Got a public space for a donation bin? Let us know!)

• ​Support Remotely:

  • ​Gift cards (Walmart, target, bjs, ollies, even gas stations!),

  • ​Shop directly from our Walmart wishlist

  • ​Donate funds through sign up genius

• ​Volunteer: We need help sorting, collecting, and spreading the word, as well as day of help, you can sign up here.

• ​Spread the word! Tell your neighbors, share on social media, ask your coworkers for contributions, print out flyers, everyone can help!
