The hero’s journey of change: from passion to impact
At WAKE Foundation, we believe everyone is the hero of their own story.
And we believe that real change begins when we choose to be the change we want to see in the world.
But meaningful change does not start with having the perfect idea or providing solutions we assume people need.
It begins first with listening and understanding the people we want to serve — their real challenges and needs.
Because the real heroes of the change we want to create are the people and communities whose lives are touched by it.
In this interactive workshop, we will explore how empathy, curiosity, and listening can become the starting point for creating meaningful social change.
Through a World Café dialogue format and simple tools from Human-Centered Design, we will reflect together, exchange perspectives, and explore how social change can start with a deeper understanding of people and communities.
Together, we will explore questions such as:
☕ What is Social Business and how can it create positive change?
☕ What is the positive change I want to see in the world?
☕ Which communities or people would I like to serve?
☕ What real need or challenge are they experiencing?
Through guided conversations and shared reflection, participants will gain more clarity about the impact they want to create and how to begin designing ideas that respond to real problems in the communities they care about.
