About Event

Someone recently asked me in a leadership workshop:

"What's wrong with giving advice? I value advice, and I'm happy to give it to others."

It is a fair question. And the honest answer is: nothing is wrong with giving advice.

Sometimes it is exactly the right thing to do.

But only sometimes.

The challenge many leaders face is that they have one default mode: directing, advising, telling. And they apply it regardless of the situation, the person, or what that person actually needs in that moment.

In this session we explore Ken Blanchard's Situational Leadership model: a practical, powerful framework that helps leaders recognise when to direct, when to coach, when to support, and when to step back and delegate.

Because the most effective leaders are not the ones with the best answers. They are the ones who know which hat to wear, and when.

In this session you will:

  • Discover the four leadership styles and when each one is most effective

  • Learn to read what your team members actually need, not what you assume they need

  • Practice shifting between styles through real scenarios and reflection

  • Leave with a practical tool you can apply in your very next conversation

This session is for you if:

  • You lead a team and want to develop your people more effectively

  • You find yourself giving advice that doesn't land, or taking on too much

  • You want to expand your leadership toolkit beyond directing and advising

  • You are curious about coaching as a leadership approach

Format: Presentation, discussion, and practice. One hour. No slides overload, just real conversation and useful tools.

Step out of your daily routine. Step up in your leadership.
