Body Mechanics & The Birthing Ball:
A simple, fascinating look at how your pelvis and baby work together during labour, and how movement, positioning and the birthing ball can help create space, release tension and encourage your baby into an optimal position.
We’ll demo practical positions and movements that you can try at home during pregnancy and labour.
Harnessing Oxytocin, Partner Support & Advocacy:
Oxytocin plays an important role in physiological labour, but creating the right environment for it isn’t just about candles and calm music!
We’ll explore how safety, connection, touch, massage and feeling supported can influence your birth experience, alongside practical techniques your birth partner can use to help you feel calm and cared for.
We’ll also look at advocacy and informed decision-making and how your partner can help you communicate your preferences, ask questions and support you to make decisions with confidence, whatever your birth ultimately looks like.
Midwife x Doula in Conversation:
An honest and relaxed conversation exploring how midwives and doulas can work together to support women throughout pregnancy and birth.
We’ll chat about what each role brings to your birth team, dispel some common myths and answer your questions about building a support network that works for you.
