Kammaṭṭhāna in Practice: Life Transitions
Learn more about the ways Kammaṭṭhāna practice can change us and how to approach the transitions we face with care.
How can one reconcile the detachment from passions and connections that once felt vital, and not feel like they are abandoning their friends (or have their friends feel they are being abandoned)? How to manage the isolation?
In the life of the Buddha, Visākhā is told “suffering of every sort happens because of one's beloved, but not when there is none."
As the Dhamma comes to fill our scope more and more, connecting and bringing benefit to others seems to change drastically because we realize the err of what we used to see as beneficial. That separation from others occurs is inevitable, and that it would occur due to a growing dedication to the Buddhadhamma makes sense, but how can one go through the transition and changes that the Kammaṭṭhāna practice brings while keeping care and energy for loved ones in body, speech, mind and in action still.
