Daniele Ceratto from the Universita di Scienze Gastronomiche (UNISG) joins Lorenzo Scarpone to discuss the Slow Food Movement and the continuing work of UNISG.
The Slow Food Movement was founded by Carlo Petrini in 1986 and from there developed into a major force for promoting sustainable agriculture and equitable food distribution throughout the world. It was a simple idea with a powerful message: everyone deserves access to good, clean, and fair food.
In 2004, Carlo founded the University of Gastronomic Sciences (UNISG) in Pollenzo (Piemonte), which has become a major training center for professionals in sustainable agriculture.
Join a small gathering of aficionados to learn about the continuing mission of UNISG and to discuss how to build interest in the Slow Food movement within the next generation. Carlo Petrini’s legacy lives on in the educational programs he founded, and the fostering of community continued at gatherings like this.
