​We're teaming up with Farm LA to help them with their spring work on their urban farm! Get your hands dirty with a variety of tasks including weed removal, checking on the growth of the baby lima beans and other farm maintenance. All levels of experience are welcome!

​Afterwards, we invite you to join us to walk over to Bicycle Spoke Cafe to grab some lunch! 🥙 (everyone pays for their own meal). It's just a 10-minute walk from Farm LA along the LA River bike path. 🦆

​By signing up here you understand that you are locking in a volunteer spot. 

​Please only sign up if you think you can attend on the day, and if you do have to cancel - please update your RSVP status with us as much heads up so we can let another volunteer know the space has become available :)

​Founded in 2014 by Jason Wood and Emily Gleicher, Farm LA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to rescuing underutilized lots in Los Angeles communities for solar and agricultural farms.

​Jason and Emily wanted to do something about the abundance of underutilized land in Los Angeles and turn it into land that can give back to those in need, green the city and grow food for our future. That’s why they started Farm LA.

• ​​Must be comfortable with hands-on physical work (i.e. cleaning, pulling weeds, shoveling, and planting) and comfortable working around children. 

• ​​Physical demands: Able to lift up to 25 lbs (if not, we will have other things to do for you so please email the Opportunity Coordinator for any questions/accommodations).

• ​​Attire: Wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. Gloves and tools will be provided (bring your own gloves if preferred). Equipment will be provided.
