About Event

A conversation on building the healthiest foundation before pregnancy.

Join Chiyo and WTHN for a conversation in our On Fertility series, exploring how nutrition, reproductive health, acupuncture, and movement can support the body in the months leading up to pregnancy.

We’ll talk about what it means to prepare for pregnancy beyond simply taking a prenatal, including the role of nourishment, hormonal health, cycle awareness, stress, movement, and the broader foundations that can support reproductive health.

The conversation will bring together experts across pelvic health, acupuncture, nutrition, and reproductive medicine, offering a more holistic look at preparing the body for pregnancy.

Featuring Dr. Riva Preil, pelvic floor physical therapist and founder of Revitalize Physical Therapy, whose work focuses on pelvic health across fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

Lindsay Fauntleroy, MSAc, LAc, PhD(s) is an acupuncturist at WTHN whose own transformative experience with acupuncture while trying to conceive sparked a deeper interest in its effects on psycho-emotional wellbeing. Her work explores the connections between symptoms, emotions, and life experiences through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also incorporates Afro-Indigenous healing approaches and honors the shamanic lineage of acupuncture in her practice.

Dr. Brooke Scheller, DCN, CNS is a doctor of clinical nutrition, author, and innovator. She is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist trained in functional nutrition, micronutrient evaluation, and lab analysis. Her work looks at how gut health, hormone balance, and nutrition shape the body’s foundation for lifelong health, including the preconception years. She is passionate about using food and nutrition strategically to support mental health. Dr. Brooke is the author of How to Eat to Change How You Drink and has published peer-reviewed research on nutrition, mental health, digestive disorders, and more.

Moderated by Irene Liu, founder of Chiyo, the first nutrition program built specifically for women's health, blending Eastern medicine principles with modern nutritional science. Inspired by the gap in postpartum care she saw with her aunt, she grew Chiyo to serve more than 8,000 families nationwide before its acquisition by Epicured, where she now serves as SVP of Women's Health. She has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 and Inc.'s Female Founders 500.

Guests are invited to stay and connect following the conversation, with light bites from Chiyo.
