βποΈ What is Mine to Carry
βFaith, Tawakkul, & the Art of Letting Go
βA free virtual community session led by Siciida Ibrahim
βπΏ Ruh is pleased to offer this special session to the Islamic Family community in person and extend a virtual invitation to members of the wider community.πΏ
βSometimes, we find ourselves carrying things that were never fully ours to carry.
βThe outcome we can't control. The choices someone else makes. The uncertainty about what comes next. The things we wish had happened differently.
And sometimes, letting go can feel almost impossible, especially when we care deeply about what happens.
βJoin us for a meaningful evening exploring tawakkul, acceptance, emotional wellbeing, and the art of letting go. Together, we'll reflect on what is within our control, what we can influence, and what we may need to entrust to Allah.
βGrounded in faith and informed by psychological perspectives, this session offers a space to reflect on how we can navigate life's uncertainties with greater clarity, resilience, and peace.
ββ¨ About the Event
βποΈWhat is mine to carry
βIt's a simple question, but one that can change how we approach some of life's most difficult moments.
βThrough reflection, conversation, and practical insights, we'll consider why letting go can be difficult and how our relationship with control, uncertainty, and acceptance can shape our emotional wellbeing.
βDrawing from both Islamic teachings and psychological understanding, we'll explore how we can care deeply, take meaningful action, and still find peace in recognizing that some things are ultimately beyond our control.
βThis is a space to slow down, reflect, and consider what it might look like to carry what is ours while learning to release what isn't.
βThe session will close with a dedicated time for open Q&A and conversation, giving you an opportunity to ask questions, share reflections, or explore how these ideas connect to your own experiences.
βπ± Together, We'll Explore
βWhy letting go can be difficult and why we sometimes hold on to things we cannot control.
βHow faith, tawakkul, and acceptance can shape the way we navigate life's uncertainties.
βHow psychological perspectives can help us better understand our relationship with control and emotional wellbeing.
βWays to approach difficult circumstances with greater clarity, resilience, and peace.
