About Event

1. Space for your thinking 🌱

Exploring what matters means knowing yourself.

Imagine a job opportunity opens up for you that people around you see as a good step forward. You initially feel drawn to it, but you are unsure for what reasons. Which values guide you? How can you see more clearly?

Perhaps you spent years working towards a goal that no longer feels as important as it once did. Your life has changed and some of your priorities may have changed with it. What still feels worth your time and energy? What are you continuing mostly out of habit?

My Base Workshop offers you three hours to practice deeper thinking alongside other people exploring what matters to them. A space to better understand what matters to you when making decisions.

You can get to know me and my work through the 10-minute video on joergfirnkorn.com.

2. What we do in the workshop

The aim is pragmatic: to strengthen your ability to make decisions.

  • For yourself: Practice deeper thinking and recognize what matters to you. Strengthen your own clarity and self-trust. This helps you make decisions you can stand behind.

  • With others: Hear fellow humans think out loud. Their thinking can help you go deeper. Your thinking can help them too.

You bring one open decision from your current life as an entry point. We first slow down and look deeper. That decision is not finalised within the workshop. We then leave the entry point behind and focus on how you make decisions in general in your life.

This is a workshop to practice your own thinking. I don’t teach conceptual content or provide answers. Participants don’t analyse each other’s situation or give each other advice.

You share only what you want to share. There is room for what you notice and feel inside alongside your thoughts. Silence is welcome.

3. Your host

I’m Jörg Firnkorn, based in Berlin. I’ve worked as a business ethics professor and co-led a team of 17 AI research scientists at a startup.

My role in the workshop is mainly to stay back and listen. I hold a calm and structured space, and ask some minimal guiding questions.

Your thinking and decision-making remain yours.
