Fides Entrepreneurship Vermont Ski Retreat
RETREAT ONLY BOOKABLE FOR FIDES MEMBERS
(Picture in homage to John Paul the 2nds love for skiing)
In 1942 during WW2, the Von Trapp family escaped Austria with nothing settled in the hills above Stowe.
Unbeknownst to many Maria Von Trapp originally wanted to become a nun but out of advice from her mother superior was recommended to marry Georg Von Trapp.
At their private house daily mass was said. When the Nazi's took over Austria and started terrorizing Jews their conscience didn't feel right and left the country.
Their house in Salzburg became Heinrich Himmler's Headquarters.
Later on in her life she with her daughter and step mother served as a lay missionary for the Catholic Church for a couple of years in Papua New Guinea, even adopting a young boy.
During this retreat you will not only have access to:
-24 hour adoration chapel
