Shared Ingredients: Archiving food stories with Dominic Bley of Garden of Joy
What are the recipes that define us? Join Dominic Bley for an immersive two-hour gathering that moves beyond a typical talk and into a shared experience of co-creation. At Garden of Joy, we believe the dinner table is the primary social fabric of a community and a place where history is preserved.
During the first hour, we will work together to build a living digital cookbook. We invite every attendee to bring a recipe that means home to them. Please have a photo of the dish or a handwritten note and the text ready on your phone so we can archive these culinary heirlooms into a single shared collection.
The second hour belongs to the table. We will transition into a family-style dinner for an open conversation about food culture and our approach to teaching it at Garden of Joy Culinary Academy, with plenty of room left for unexpected diversions and stories from the group. Come ready to share a memory and see how the simple act of cooking together builds a more connected future.
