

Let's Talk Nutrition with Jamie Rangel, RDN & President of CA Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics San Diego District
Jaime Rangel, RDN, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 10 years of clinical experience specializing in Medical Nutrition Therapy, metabolic health, and evidence-based patient counseling. Jaime earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of California, Davis and completed his clinical training and supervised practice hours through the SDSU WIC Dietetic Internship program before becoming credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). As an RDN, his training includes accredited graduate-level nutrition education, extensive supervised clinical practice, national board examination, and ongoing continuing professional development to maintain evidence-based standards of care.
Jaime's approach to nutrition is deeply rooted in science, clinical data interpretation, and individualized patient-centered care designed to help optimize health, performance, recovery, and longevity. His passion for nutrition is closely intertwined with his lifelong interest in human performance and endurance. What began through a collegiate rowing career later evolved into triathlon training and now fuels his continued growth as a recreational tennis player competing in tournaments around the world. Through both his clinical work and personal athletic experiences, Jaime has developed a strong appreciation for how strategic fueling, recovery, and lifestyle optimization can positively influence both performance and long-term health.
