Marketing Circle Dialogues: The New Rules of Product Discovery
Marketing Circle Dialogues: The New Rules of Product Discovery
Marketing Circle Dialogues is a discussion-led format from Marketing Circle Toronto - designed for first principle conversations among people working across marketing, growth, sales, partnerships, product, & founder / operator roles.
Each Dialogue is built around one big question. Instead of starting with trends, channels, or tactics, we step back to examine the fundamentals - what we mean, what we assume, & how the answer changes across industries.
The format combines small-group conversations, cross-industry perspectives, & open networking.
For this edition, we’ll explore:
What does it actually mean for a product to be discovered today?
Questions we’ll explore:
What does it mean to “discover” a product - to hear about it, understand it, remember it, or decide it is worth exploring?
What is the difference between awareness & discovery?
What makes a newly discovered product worth a second look?
Where does product discovery really begin today - search, social, marketplaces, communities, creators, partnerships, AI tools, or somewhere else?
Are AI tools changing discovery itself, or simply changing who gets to recommend products?
How do discovery patterns differ across industries - consumer, SaaS, marketplaces, services, & B2B?
Which discovery behaviours are being overhyped, & which are being underestimated?
Come with curiosity, not certainty.
This is not a formal panel or lecture. It is a facilitated conversation where marketers, founders, growth leaders, product marketers, sales & partnerships professionals, & operators from different industries can exchange notes, challenge assumptions, & leave with new perspectives - not just new contacts.
About Event
Product discovery is changing.
Customers no longer discover products through one clean path. A product may first enter someone’s field of attention through a creator, a marketplace, a community, a search result, an AI recommendation, a partnership, a friend, or a moment of need.
But the rules are not the same across every category.
What works for a CPG brand may not work for a SaaS product. What works in retail media may not work in professional services. What works for a startup may not work for an established brand. And what makes someone explore a product in one industry may be very different from what works in another.
This edition of Marketing Circle is designed as a practical, cross-industry conversation on how discovery works across categories - & what marketers, founders, & GTM teams may need to rethink.
The goal is not to arrive at one neat answer. The goal is to compare perspectives, surface assumptions, & understand what people across industries are actually seeing.
