About Event

Do you often feel like life in your new country is heavier than you expected it to be?

Maybe you’re already “functioning” — you have a job, you meet people, you have a place to live. On paper you have “made it in Germany!”

but underneath, there’s a quiet sense of anxiety or disorientation, you are here but it’s hard to feel at home, it’s hard to rest fully.

And sometimes you wonder:
”What is wrong with me?”
”What am I doing wrong?”
”Why am I reacting this way?”
“Why don’t I feel like myself anymore?”

The truth is: there is nothing wrong with you.

Living between cultures, languages, and systems places a continuous demand on your nervous system — even when things look “fine” from the outside.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the emotional and mental burdens of migration, we’ll learn how to recognize and address the underlying needs, to feel more at ease and move from a state of survival to a smoother daily life with more satisfaction.

Who this is for 🙂

This workshop is for you if you:

  • have moved to Berlin (Germany) recently or years ago and still feel disoriented

  • have been moving around in multiple countries since years and wonder if you will ever feel at home anywhere

  • grew up multi-culturally and feel like you don’t belong anywhere

  • feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or “not quite yourself” after the settling

  • most importantly, are curious about understanding yourself more deeply and open to self-exploration

In this workshop, you will learn 🧠

  • Why migration can feel mentally and emotionally overwhelming — even long after you’ve “settled”

  • How your nervous system responds to uncertainty, change, and loss of familiarity and the connection between emotions (anxiety, fatigue, disconnection) and unmet needs

  • How to move from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What do I need?”

  • Simple, exercise that will help you to come back to yourself in everyday moments

You’ll leave with 🌱

  • A new perspective on your experience, your new reality and your sense of self as a migrant

  • Clarity about your emotional needs

  • Actionable decisions on how to meet the discovered needs

  • And simple, practical ways to down-regulate and support yourself in moments of overwhelm

Facilitator 🤓

Golbarg is a psychological coach and somatic facilitator.

She works with migrants and expats who are navigating the emotional challenges of living between cultures and trying to create a new sense of home, belonging, and stability in a new environment. Her work supports people in moving from constant survival mode toward a life with more ease, connection, joy, and self-trust.

Combining systemic coaching with body-based approaches, Golbarg creates spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, better understand their emotional and nervous system responses, and develop more grounded ways of relating to themselves, others, and the life they are building.
