Profit for Good | What makes a good giving strategy?
Making a steady profit is not easy. But giving it away may come with even bigger responsibilities. How do you decide where your profit should flow?
Should it go to the charities that are independently evaluated as the most impactful, or should it match the story of your organization, or both?
Philosopher Peter Singer will kick off the session with an introduction to Profit for Good and explore why the question of what happens to a company’s profits matters.
Then, Kat Dekker, CEO and founder from Give Industries, will share how she decides where her giving goes, and the impact it makes.
Simon Griffiths, CEO and founder from Who Gives A Crap, will offer a different perspective, sharing why the company focuses its giving on one clear issue: access to water and sanitation.
After that, you are invited to join the dialogue on what makes a good giving strategy. You are invited to share your perspective and help refine our thinking on this important topic.
