The Portage School of Leaders is co-hosting the first of our Regional Forums this year.
It's a tuition-free public charter in South Bend that built its Portrait of a Leader around 29 durable skills, with career pathways where students earn industry certifications before they graduate. Their model is awesome, and we're excited for our members to learn from their success.
If you're public or charter and you've been told this model only works at well-funded independent schools, come see otherwise.
The first half of the day belongs to Portage. You'll be in conversation with their students, teachers, and school leaders in the learning spaces where the model actually runs.
In the afternoon, we will break into smaller working sessions on based on where you (and your school) are in your Journey to Mastery.
If you're just defining your Portrait / Competencies, have begun measuring them with your students, or have fully left traditional grades behind... we'll have the right peer group for you.
We hope you bring the biggest problem you're stuck on can learn from someone who just recently solved it. The full program is now available here!
South Bend is 2.5 hours from Aurora Institute's FullScale in Indianapolis on October 8-10, so you can do both in one trip.
Member schools get two free tickets, with the code in your invitation email. If you're not a member, we're asking for $50 to cover costs.
