Join Cur8 Capital, Mufti Faraz Adam and Pfida for an afternoon exploring how we can make better financial decisions without compromising on our faith.
A lot of us want to manage our money in a way that is genuinely aligned with our values, but it can be difficult to know where to start. What does Islamic finance actually mean beyond avoiding interest? How can we build wealth through halal investments? And is there a genuinely different way to buy a home?
This event brings together three perspectives to make those questions clearer.
Mufti Faraz Adam will begin with an introduction to Islamic finance, exploring the principles that sit behind Sharia-compliant financial products and how Muslims can think about money, trade, risk and responsibility.
Mohsin from Cur8 Capital will then explore halal investing and the role alternative asset classes can play within a diversified portfolio. He will cover areas such as private credit and private equity... alongside why putting capital to work within the Muslim community matters.
Raza Ullah, Founder of Pfida, will explain Pfida’s interest- and debt-free approach to homeownership, how it differs from conventional mortgages and other halal mortgage models, and what a community-led route to buying a home can look like.
There will be time for audience Q&As with all three speakers, followed by networking over chai and biscuits.
Whether you are just starting to explore Islamic finance, thinking about investing, or looking towards buying a home, this will be a relaxed opportunity to learn, ask honest questions and meet like-minded people from the local community.
