A grief-circle: Honoring loss in many forms with
On Wednesday, May 27, We will be hosting a grief-circle, led by Brechje.
It's part of her mission to create more space for collective grieving, which she believes is essential to a healthy society.
This is an intimate space where experiences of loss can be shared, both large and small. This can include the loss of a person, but also the loss of a relationship, a dream, social justice, or a healthy Earth.
What makes this gathering unique is that, after someone has shared their story, there is no verbal response from others. We simply remain present, listen to one another, and pause through simple rituals to acknowledge what is there.
This evening is inspired by the work of Camille Sapara Barton (Tending Grief) and Sylvie de Kubber.
Brechje works as a spiritual caretaker and ritual designer, offering guidance to people who are navigating big life transitions, or who are dealing with existential quests.
