Testudo AI Engineering Dinner - Santiago, Chile

​One table. Small group. Three hours.

​I'm Sebastian Bitar, Chilean and a Member of Technical Staff at Testudo.

​Testudo is an AI liability insurance company. We're a Lloyd's of London coverholder, writing up to $10M in coverage for companies deploying AI systems. Started in 2024 and are now a small team across San Francisco, New York, and London.

​I've built a good amount of what sits underneath the company: our underwriting platform, AI Liability Monitoring and our Agentic Knowledge Graph, that we use to understand AI exposure before it turns into a loss.

​Before Testudo, I spent 3.5 years at Nirvana Insurance, where I was a technical lead and helped scale the company from Series A through Series D. Most of my time was spent building and modernizing underwriting and pricing systems. I'm a engineering grad from Universidad Católica de Chile.

​I'll be in Santiago on September 10, and I'd much rather have one great-ass dinner than more coffee chats.
