Join Us for an Exclusive Executive Luncheon & Discussion
The Future of Workplace Mental Health
The Ortus Club and TELUS Health invite senior HR leaders in Singapore to a private luncheon and roundtable discussion. Over a relaxed meal, you'll join a small group of peers for an off-the-record conversation about one of the most consequential — and most consistently underestimated — risks facing organisations today. Expect excellent food, genuine exchange, and a room of people wrestling with the same challenges you are.
The Topic
Workplace Mental Health: The Hidden Risk to Productivity and Performance
When organisations assess productivity risk, the conversation typically centres on headcount, technology, or operational efficiency — rarely on the conditions shaping whether people can sustainably perform in the first place.
The data is unambiguous. Nearly 40% of workers in Singapore report that mental health is negatively affecting their output. Psychosocial hazards — chronic overload, poor manager relationships, lack of autonomy, financial stress, and unclear role expectations — carry direct consequences for absenteeism, presenteeism, attrition, and organisational liability. Younger workers, who will comprise the majority of Singapore's workforce within a decade, are already showing higher rates of burnout and disengagement than any previous cohort.
Organisations that treat this as a welfare issue risk solving the wrong problem entirely. The competitive advantage lies in recognising it for what it is: a risk management and leadership capability challenge.
When high performers disengage or leave, how often does your organisation examine psychosocial conditions as a contributing factor — and what would change if it did?
Leadership behaviour demonstrably shapes workforce health outcomes — yet most people leaders feel ill-equipped to navigate it. What does meaningful capability in this space actually require?
Younger workers are entering with fundamentally different expectations around wellbeing and psychological safety. What will high-performing, mentally healthy organisations need to look like in five years?
