Burn Bridge and Railbed Loop
About the Trail🌲🗻
This 18.5 km loop near Shawnigan Lake winds through Koksilah River Provincial Park, following old railbed and forest trail deep into the valley. Expect river views, second-growth forest, and quiet — it's unlikely you'll run into many other people out here.
The trail is open year-round and makes for a big, satisfying day out. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some sections.
Physical Expectation ✅
A challenging route thanks to the distance and 597 m of cumulative gain. The railbed sections are steady underfoot, but the length makes this a full day — solid fitness and good footwear expected.
