In this session, we will be speaking with Luke Mostert and Karl Nchite, Co-Founders of CatalyzU.

CatalyzU was founded when Luke and Karl both entered the African startup and venture capital landscape while still in university. They realized they were largely isolated from the support systems that young professionals in more established industries on the continent enjoy. When they met each other, they began sharing deal flow, due diligence tips, and helping founders make introductions, which further reinforced their realization. This led them to think about how they could encourage more collaboration among African youth in the venture ecosystem. This led to the creation of Young African Catalysts, which, in just one year, grew to include the lead investor under the age of 35 from the 50 leading venture capital funds on the African continent.
