About Event

This will be an in-person seminar at the Querrey InQbation Lab. Lunch will be provided.

As a life sciences company moves from early research through fundraising, clinical trials, commercialization, and growth, its risks—and insurance needs—evolve. This seminar will explore the key risks founders and leadership teams should consider at each stage and how to build an insurance program that grows alongside the company.

Lori Moreno and Nick Napolitano of HUB International will discuss common insurance requirements associated with fundraising, leases, contracts, and clinical trials, as well as key coverages including products and professional liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, cyber, and clinical trial liability. They will also address international and supply chain risks and highlight common insurance pitfalls for emerging life sciences companies.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of when different types of coverage become relevant and how insurance can help manage risk as a company advances from the lab toward the market.

This is a closed in-person event, open to the Northwestern community (students, staff, faculty and affiliated startups).

Please register using your university or startup email address.
