​The name is a direct reference to our heritage. Over 20 years ago, our co-founder Saul sparked something extraordinary. What began as a modest, monthly meet-up in a London Starbucks—The Open Coffee Club—quickly became the beating heart of the city’s tech scene before spreading to 200+ cities worldwide (LocalGlobe!).

​Inspired by the spirit of the open-source movement, founders, builders, and curious dreamers gathered to exchange ideas, find inspiration, and build the partnerships that would shape the future. Many groundbreaking companies and products that emerged from those connections are still thriving today. In a way, we aim to return to these roots while acknowledging the significant growth of the ecosystem.
