When AI agents interact, they don't always act independently. Research shows they can collude - keeping market prices artificially high, forming workplace coalitions, and coordinating behind the scenes.
Join us for a 3-day research sprint where you'll design and run experiments tackling four core questions:
Emergence: When does collusion happen in markets and everyday agent workflows?
Detection: How can auditors tell real coordination apart from random chance?
Channels: How is coordination actually communicated and carried out?
Defense: What tools and interventions can break collusive behavior?
This is opportunity to:
Find collaborators to work on research ideas
Get feedback from experts
Top teams are invited to apply to the Apart Fellowship for further research and mentorship
$2,000 in cash prizes
Schedule:
Friday 18:00 - 🍕 Pizza night kick-off - meet awesome, smart collaborators selected from our network.
Saturday & Sunday 10:00-18:00 - work on your project in teams or solo; lunch is on us.
Project submission deadline TBC.
