August 7 Site Visit (Brooklyn & Manhattan, New York)
Join Investors Circle on Wednesday, August 7 from `12:30PM–5:00PM ET (end time is a rough estimate, with an optional after event social planned) for an exclusive, curated site visit focused on cooperative ownership, community wealth-building, and aligned capital.
This in-person experience brings together a small group of values-driven investors for a deep dive into New York City’s solidarity economy.
12:30 - First stop - BEM Books and More

2:00 - Brooklyn Packers, a Black-led worker cooperative central to the city’s regional food system, and hear directly from founders and funders about their ownership transition and the role of non-extractive financing in their growth strategy.
After the tour, we’ll gather for an off-the-record discussion with leaders from The Working World, a member of Seed Commons, and the cooperative finance ecosystem.
3:00 We will then move via public transportation to Bluestocking Bookstore, to hear from multiple employee owned NY based businesses working with New York City Network of Worker Cooperatives NYC NoWC
5:00 For further conversations we will move via public transportation to Donna - an equitable, sustainable, employee owned bar where food and drinks will be available for purchase.
